Founded in 1996, the Department of Business Administration is one of the first departments of İstanbul Bilgi University. The Department offers business courses that focus on global and local issues, as well as the recent theoretical developments and practical applications in its field.

The internationally and nationally acknowledged and renowned Department differentiates itself with not only its education quality, but also with its high quality research output. The Department offers five undergraduate programs.

The undergraduate Business Administration program was founded in 1996. This was followed by the International Finance program in 1997, and the International Trade and Business program and the Business Informatics programs in 2004. In 2013 Marketing Undergraduate Program will be Turkey’s pioneer undergraduate program aiming to educate students with specialization in Marketing.

The Department of Business Administration graduates are knowledgeable about recent business-related issues and real life problems; they are practice and research-oriented strong decision makers. Our students and graduates value ethics in business, and are knowledgeable about diverse value systems, responsible and honest leaders and team members.

The academic members of the Department of Business Administration are young, dynamic, innovative, internationally experienced experts in their fields of study. They are distinguished researchers who contribute to the creation of academic knowledge that has significant theoretical and managerial implications both in Turkey and the international academic arena.
