Elections in the Context of Information Discorders and Social Media

Focusing on the 2024 European Parliament Elections and the US Presidential Elections, you are invited to a panel discussion on “Elections in the Context of Information Disorders and Social Media”. With Emilia Palonen (University of Helsinki) on the far right’s use of TikTok in the European Parliament election campaigns and Halil Nalçaoğlu (Istanbul Bilgi University) on the US elections, this event will present a discussion on the impact of social media and information disorders in democratic processes. The panel discussion will take place on December 6, 2024 between 12:00-14.00 at santralistanbul Campus, ÇSM 403, in face-to-face and online at the same time. The event language is English.
