The History Graduate Conference is organized by graduate students from Istanbul Bilgi University’s History Department and the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies and supported by Tarih Vakfı.
The conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for graduate students primarily studying History and academics from different disciplines to present their research.

Submission & Application Requirements
We welcome submissions from graduate students at any point in their studies. Recent graduates are also welcome to submit their research.
Applicants should submit a single PDF document titled "Lastname_Title" containing a 350-word proposal and Curriculum Vitae to historygraduateconference2025@bilgi.edu.tr.
Proposals must be received by 23 March 2025.
* Depending on the number of applicants, we intend to have 3-4 presentations for each panel, and each panelist will have 15 minutes to present their research. After each panel, there will be a 15-minute Q&A session.
** The conference program includes panels in English and Turkish. There will be no simultaneous translation during the conference.
*** There will not be any online Zoom broadcast.
