The seminar which is about press freedom in Turkey and The Netherlands is organized by İstanbul Bilgi University Media and Communication Systems Program and supported by the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in İstanbul and the Turkey Institute (The Hague).
Guest speakers are invited to discuss topics such as media ownership and the influence of politics in the press. Participating journalists are a.o. Ragıp Duran (Bianet), Oral Çalışlar (Radikal), Mustafa Akyol (Turkish Daily News), Rob Wijnberg (nrc.next) and Frits van Exter (Vrij Nederland)
Entrance is free of charge. Simultanous translation will be available.
