The Radical Enlightenment conference is organized by İstanbul Bilgi University Department of History.

Having first articulated the concept of there having been a Radical Enlightenment, Professor Jacob will address where we now stand in the field of early Enlightenment studies.

The language of the conference is English; there will be no translation.

Margaret Jacob :
Margaret Jacob is Distinguished Professor of History at UCLA and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her book The Radical Enlightenment: Pantheists, Freemasons and Republicans appeared in 1981; a second edition was published in 2006.
