Domino Lectures are organized by İstanbul Bilgi University Media and Communication Systems Graduate Program.

Professor Bülent Diken is reader in the Department of Sociology at Lancaster University; and professor in  the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Kadir Has University. He did his first degree in urban planning in Denmark, at The Aarhus School of Architecture. From 1994 to 1997 he worked on his PhD thesis with the title “Strangers, Ambivalence and Social Theory”, followed by another research project focused on the sociology of mobility. His research focus is primarily on social theory, political philosophy, cinema, urbanism, post-structuralism and migration.
