TÜBİTAK grant for the project of Faculty Member, PhD, Azer Kılıç from BİLGİ Department of Sociology
The project of Faculty Member, PhD, Azer Kılıç from our University’s Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities titled ‘The Issue of the Future of Work in the Context of Artificial Intelligence and Automation Technologies: Case of Translators with Their Current Experiences and Visions for Future’ presented to TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program has been entitled to receive a grant of 236,100 TL for 18 months.
The project aims to focus on the future of work through the case of translators. It will examine how translators experience the technologies of machine translation, their expectations from the future in the context of these technologies, and the potential impact of these expectations on their current decisions and behaviors.
In the project, Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Şahin from Boğaziçi University’s Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences will serve as project advisor.
