The paper titled “An AI Driven Timeless Journey To Ancient Ephesus” authored by our students has been accepted by the IEEE VR Conference
BİLGİ Electrical and Electronics Engineering Master Program students Selen Güngördü and Ecem Ulaş, and BİLGİ Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department graduate Deniz Naz Demirtaş's paper titled ‘An AI Driven Timeless Journey To Ancient Ephesus’, which is based on a project they developed under the supervision of Prof. Ahmet Denker, was accepted by the 32nd IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces to be held in Saint-Malo, France
The project seeks to harness the power of interactive 3D reconstruction, XR, and AI technologies to revive the Ancient City of Ephesus, which has lost much of its original grandeur. By creating a realistic, immersive virtual experience, the project aims to transport users back in time, offering a vivid exploration of Ephesus in its prime. Through the concept of the metaverse, visitors will not only be able to virtually explore the ancient city but also engage with AI-powered guides, enhancing the experience with interactive and educational content.
