BİLGİ once again on TÜBİTAK’s Entrepreneurial and Innovative Universities Index

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) has announced the 2017 version of its “Entrepreneurial and Innovative Universities Index”.

İstanbul Bilgi University’s ranking on this 157-university index went from #44 in 2016 to #38 this year. The university’s ranking among private universities established by foundations improved from #13 in 2016 to #11 in 2017.

The index only includes universities with more than fifty faculty members, and is based on 23 indicators including competence in scientific and technological research, existing intellectual property rights, cooperation and interaction efforts, a culture focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, economic contribution, and commercialization.
